A few months ago I picked up a 1996 Warwick Fortress One bass that was ocean blue. The finish was a bit beat up being that it was so old, so I had intended to refinish it to begin with. I went back and forth between doing an all black dye/hardware or going with turquoise dye and black hardware. I am so glad I went with the turquoise! It isn’t a perfect refinish, but I am very happy with the end results. For the tone nerds, it has a Darkglass Tone Capsule preamp and Nordstrand PJ pickups for a more modern twist on the classic Warwick growl.
