We spent 3 nights camping under Bottle 2 skies at Plasse’s Resort at Silver Lake. Our campsite was probably the worst from a camping standpoint being in full sun during 90 degree days, but it was perfect for astrophotography. I ran into some issues with the ASIAIR app on the first night when it only took 3 exposures after setting it up before going to bed (major bummer). The second night I got all the kinks worked out and was able to collect over 4 hours worth of data. The third night was cloudy, so I didn’t even bother keeping everything setup. In the end, I would have liked to have collected much more data from the trip, but I am still amazed at the difference from my Bottle 7 backyard to the Bottle 2 skies.
